Murray Kilgour
Director
Murray Kilgour’s impressive dance history began in Vancouver with Kay Armstrong. He then moved on to the National Ballet School of Canada where he was instructed by Betty Oliphant, Daniel Sellier, Alex Ursuliak and Nancy Schwenker. He received further training in classical ballet and character with teachers from the Bolshoi Ballet School. He became a principal and soloist dancer with the National Ballet and Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet – presently known as Birmingham Ballet. He has had the privilege of dancing for great choreographers such as Sir Fredrick Ashton, George Balanchine and Celia Franca – just to name a few. Beginning in 1980, Murray Kilgour began his teaching career after studying “educational methods at the Paris Opera School, the School of American Ballet, the State School in the former East Berlin and summer courses at the St. Petersburg Ballet School”. Together with his wife, Senior Pedagogue at the School of Alberta Ballet, Nancy Kilgour, they have taught at the Royal Ballet School; the Central School of Ballet, Beijing, China; the Central School of Ballet, London, England and currently, the School of Alberta Ballet.

Craig Cassarino has worked in the environmental field for 35 years. He is now a recognized pioneer and expert in the areas of recycling energy and sustainable development. He has evaluated numerous state-of-the-art integrated waste facilities, renewable energy projects, and other technologies for sustainable development strategies in the United States, Europe and Latin America. He is involved in all aspects of business development and ongoing assessment of technologies for sustainable development.
Jack McGinnis
Senior Advisor for Ecological and Sustainable Research
Widely recognized as an expert in the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) field, Jack McGinnis’ knowledge of the waste management industry, practical waste diversion techniques, and the needs and concerns of both private and public sectors has been developed through more than 35 years of active involvement in the field. Jack McGinnis played a central role in the development of the Blue Box recycling program. He has also held a primary responsibility for dozens of recycling systems and Waste/3R Plans in cities and regions across Canada, the United States, Greece, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic just to name a few. |
